Hazardous Weather Routes

Winter is approaching which often brings inclement weather and the possibility of hazardous road conditions for buses. There are certain locations within the district that become difficult to travel to. In the event that we experience such conditions, and deem it safest to run buses on snow routes, the following roads will not be traveled. A snow route stop has been listed below for each road that will not be traveled:

  • Allen Rd. - Rte 3 pick-up and drop off on Middle Fork

  • August Rd. - Rte 1 pick-up and drop off on St. Rte. 508 (Includes: Four Seasons, Highlander rd., Summer Run dr. and Starlight dr.)

  • Clark Rd. - Rte 4 pick-up and drop off on Gish Rd. - (Includes: Ricky ln)

  • Guerrier Rd. - Rte 4 pick-up and drop off on St. Rte. 508 (Includes: Moseley rd. and Briar Rose ln)

  • Hyak Rd. - Rte 4 pick-up and drop off on St. Rte. 508

  • Oppelt Rd. - Rte 3 pick-up and drop off on Centralia-Alpha

  • Short Rd. - Rte 3 pick-up and drop off on Centralia-Alpha

  • Tillie Rd. - Rte 6 pick-up and drop off on Burnt Ridge Rd. - (Includes: Michael ln)

  • Walhaupt Rd. - Rte 7 will pick-up and drop off on Leonard.

  • Wirsdorfer Rd. - Rte 3 pick-up and drop off on Centralia-Alpha

Students on these specified roads will be picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon at these alternate bus stops each day snow routes are in effect.

Please Note: Times are approximate. Actual times will fluctuate due to road and weather conditions. An automatic phone alert will be sent out each morning buses will be traveling on snow routes. Please make sure you have a current phone number listed with your child/children’s school office.
